Warning notices and instructions – clearly displayed near each door.
Training and familiarisation – crew instructed in the safe use and emergency operation of the doors.
Audible and visual alarms – must operate before and during door closure.
Safe operating procedures – crew should never attempt to pass through while the door is moving.
Emergency stop and local control – doors must have a quick means of manual control in case of malfunction.
Regular testing and maintenance – routine checks to ensure the door mechanisms, alarms, and safety features are fully functional.
