- Ensures a prompt, effective, and coordinated response to minimise pollution.

- List of authorities/contacts to be notified (e.g. coastal states, port authorities).
- Detailed actions for the crew to mitigate discharge (e.g. containment, transfer, use of SOPEP equipment).
