- The Machinery Abstract is a summary of the daily operational data for the ship’s main and auxiliary engines, usually extracted from the engine room log book.

- Used for management, analysis, and reporting (e.g. to owners, charterers, or classification societies).
- Helps in monitoring efficiency, scheduling maintenance, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.

- Fuel consumption (main and auxiliary engines)
